Adios al Da Vinci ` s Restaurant Beverly Hills

En el corazon de Bervely Hills Jose dueño del
restaurant Da Vinci invito a clientes y amigos a

Da Vinci Ristorante was born in August of 1979 after Dominic & Antoinette De Nichillo purchased the historic space from Joe Free,
a Beverly Hills Attorney.
Da Vinci had an early setback in its first year when a fire broke out in the summer of 1980! The restaurant's doors were forced to temporarily close while it repaired and remodeled. Gone were the original burgundy booths, and instead new salmon booths were introduced when Da Vinci, re-opened in November of 1981 .
Throughout the 80's and 90's, the restaurant became an iconic eatery for many celebrities and Hollywood legends including Madonna & Sean Penn, Barbara Streisand, President Jimmy Carter,
Frank Sinatra, Sean Connery, and of course one of Da Vinci's most loyal and well known guests, Dean Martin.
Whenever Dean came to Da Vinci, he would simply ask for
'the usual' which, started with 2 Cutty Sarks on the rocks,
an appetizer of angel hair pasta with basil and fresh tomato,
a main course of fresh broiled white fish, and for dessert,
homemade Tiramisu with a cup of cappuccino.

Da Vinci's famous Tiramisu has quite a history of its own, using a recipe that originated when Dominic's wife, Antoinette, brought her family's secret recipe and preparation all the way from Italy. When she retired, Antoinette shared the recipe with Chef Alfredo, who started as Da Vinci's 1st Chef's helper. Alfredo was eventually promoted to 2nd Chef and finally to Executive Chef.

Today Alfredo still prepares the same Tiramisu recipe that many consider to be one of the cities best. A website dedicated to those who love that fabulous dessert has listed Da Vinci's Tiramisu as "Absolutely Incredible!"  They gave it a 10.
Here's what they had to say:
"Absolutely incredible. I will never be able to order Tiramisu at another restaurant ... it cannot possibly match this one! I am Italian, have experienced Tiramisu in all regions of Italy ... and even in Italy ... there is no comparison."

In 1984, Jose Casan began his career at Da Vinci as a busboy while he worked practicing his acting doing commercials and movies around L.A. He later was promoted to waiter and learned the ins and outs of the restaurant industry! Through the years he was the Manager and Maitre' d and when Dominic decided to sell the restaurant to Jose in 2001, he gladly accepted.

Today, Jose continues to run
Da Vinci with the same appreciation for fine dining,
tableside service, and attention to detail that has won over
customers and critics for almost three decades. Jose greets
each guest as if they were coming into his own home to dine.
Chasen's, The Brown Derby, Ciro's, Dino's, Romanoff's
are long gone. But Da Vinci Ristorante lives on!

The idea of "going out to dinner" are words that mean an entire experience to me.  Beginning with the smile you receive when you arrive to the background music, the table you sit at when dining,
the person serving your meal, ambience, and of course cuisine,
all bring something to your experience.

That's what "Going out to Dinner" was taught to me by my parents and that's what we hope to continue to bring to our guests.
A full service dining experience to remember!  The way it used to be.
A night out on the town.
Celebrate a birthday, anniversary, wedding, or come on that special 1st date, or just to "go out to dinner" with friends and family.
Da Vinci Beverly Hills.............Dine in Romance & Nostalgia.
We look forward to having you dine with us and
become part of our Da Vinci Ristorante family!
Let us serve you.
